Phillip R. Garbig has been practicing law in Arcanum, Ohio, since 1985 and brings decades of experience to the clients he serves. A lifelong resident of Darke County, Phil is proud to offer legal counsel to individuals, families, and businesses within the community he calls home. His practice focuses on estate planning, probate, real estate law, and business matters, with a special emphasis on supporting Ohio’s agricultural industry—one of the defining aspects of the region.

Phil earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from The Ohio State University in 1975 and spent several years in the real estate field before earning his Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School in 1985. He is licensed to practice in the state of Ohio as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.

Phil and his wife, Karen, live in Arcanum and are the proud parents of three children—Caroline R. Schmidt, Aaron Benjamin Garbig, and the late Zachary Stephens Garbig—and six grandchildren. They are active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where Phil currently serves as Branch President.

Caroline was born and raised in Arcanum and after residing in Columbus for several years she desired to work with clients in her hometown. She returned to practice law with her father, Phil, in 2001. Caroline’s practice focuses largely in the area of estate planning, probate and estate administration. Maintaining a general practice of law she also spends a significant amount of time assisting clients in transactional matters including real estate matters, business planning as well as representation in general civil litigation, including those who have been injured in accidents. Caroline attended The Ohio State University earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree and went on to earn her law degree at Capital University Law Schools. She resides in her hometown of Arcanum with her husband, Craig, and their three children.

Nicole was born and raised in Greenville, Ohio and returned to Darke County to practice law in 2010. She maintains a general practice, covering a broad range of legal needs for her clients. Nicole is experienced in civil litigation, municipal law, business representation, domestic relations, and criminal defense. Nicole is proud to serve the community where she was raised, and ensures that all of her clients receive the individual attention they deserve. She is licensed to practice law in Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Nicole is blessed to be a wife and mother and resides in Arcanum with her husband and three children.
